Due to wharf renovations and the need for new ship facilities in New Zealand, a local customer required a 40-ton boat lifting machine. Since all yachts at this pier weigh under 40 tons and are primarily used for marine fishing and with the storage area located close to the shore, we customized a 40-ton cantilevered boat jib crane. This solution ensures efficient and safe lifting, boosting both the pier’s operational capacity and service quality.

Design Feature
How does the 40ton boat jib cane work?
Approaching the Yacht
The worker operates the control handle to start the traveling mechanism, rotate the cantilever to align with the lifting points, and simultaneously slowly lower the hook to a connectable height.
Connecting the Hook
Workers use connectors such as professional shackles to reliably connect the hook with the lifting gear. It is necessary to ensure that each lifting point is evenly loaded to prevent the hook from disengaging
Starting the Lifting
After confirming that the hook connection is correct, operators press the button to start the lifting motor and lift the yacht steadily off the ground or water at a speed regulated
Lifting Monitoring
Rely on devices such as the lifting height limit switch to monitor, pay attention to the posture of the yacht, and adjust the load on each lifting point in a timely manner when tilting occurs.
Yacht Lifting and Moving
The worker operates the slewing and traveling mechanisms according to the lifting target, rotate and translate the cantilever, and steadily lift and transport the yacht to the designated position.
Lifting Monitoring
Rely on various sensors and visual observation to monitor the situation of the yacht in real time. Immediately stop when abnormalities are encountered, and then continue after troubleshooting and resolving the issues.
Yacht Lowering
When the yacht is lifted to above the target position, operators carefully adjust the position of the cantilever, the height of the yacht. precisely position it to ensure a smooth lowering.
After confirming that the positioning is accurate, operate the lifting mechanism to slowly and evenly lower the yacht.
Equipment Reset
After completing the yacht lifting operation, operators raise the hook, rotate the cantilever back to its original position, cut off the power, and complete the equipment finishing work.
This project has enhanced the image of the wharf and supported the development of the local fishery industry.
