Recently, the hydraulic double girder rubber tired gantry crane independently developed and manufactured by Haitai Crane successfully completed a full series of factory commissioning tests. All major functions and operating performance were thoroughly checked, and the crane is now ready for delivery to its designated worksite.
This hydraulic double girder rubber tired gantry crane features an upgraded lifting arrangement based on the conventional hook-type configuration. The equipment is fitted with a manual multi-point lifting attachment, allowing the lifting points to be adjusted according to the actual requirements of each lifting operation. This makes the crane suitable for handling irregular structures, long profiles, and non-standard workpieces with different lengths and widths, providing a more flexible solution for heavy and oversized material handling.
The crane adopts a double girder structure with strong structural rigidity. Compared with a single girder configuration, the double girder design provides a more stable load-bearing structure and helps distribute lifting loads more evenly across the crane.
During heavy-duty lifting operations, the double girder structure provides good operating stability and torsional resistance, offering reliable structural support when lifting large components and heavy materials. This makes the crane suitable for applications involving steel structures, heavy fabricated components, and other large workpieces.

One of the key upgrades of this crane is its manual multi-point lifting attachment.
With a conventional hook arrangement, lifting large workpieces with significant differences in length or width can sometimes be difficult because the lifting points are relatively fixed. This can limit the crane’s ability to handle certain long profiles, wide components, and irregularly shaped workpieces.
The multi-point lifting attachment allows the lifting points to be repositioned according to the dimensions and lifting requirements of the workpiece. By matching the lifting points more closely with the structure of the load, the system provides a more balanced lifting arrangement and helps reduce the risk of deformation caused by unsuitable load distribution.
As a result, one crane can handle a wider range of material sizes, further expanding the practical applications of the hydraulic rubber-tired crane.
As a rubber-tired lifting machine, the hydraulic double girder rubber tired gantry crane is equipped with a rubber-tired chassis and can move around the worksite under its own power without requiring fixed travel rails.
The crane can be relocated between workshops, storage yards, and other working areas according to operational requirements, providing greater flexibility in different working environments. At the same time, the absence of fixed rail systems reduces the need for track foundations and related infrastructure, making equipment deployment more flexible where lifting positions need to be changed frequently.
Before delivery, Haitai Crane carried out systematic factory commissioning and performance inspections on the complete crane.
The commissioning process covered the hydraulic system, travelling mechanism, hoisting mechanism, and multi-point lifting attachment, together with integrated tests of the different operating systems. From load testing and equipment operation to control response during actual operation, each key function was checked individually.
Following the comprehensive commissioning process, the rubber tired gantry crane demonstrated stable operation, smooth coordination between its different mechanisms, and responsive controls, meeting the required factory acceptance conditions and preparing it for subsequent operation at the customer’s site.
Combining the mobility of a rubber-tired lifting machine with the load-bearing capability of a double-girder structure, the hydraulic double girder rubber tired gantry crane can handle a wider range of lifting requirements when equipped with its adjustable multi-point lifting attachment.
In applications such as steel structure fabrication, heavy component processing, and large-component storage and transfer, the rubber tired gantry crane can handle not only conventional heavy loads but also long profiles, wide components, and non-standard workpieces. This broader load adaptability can further improve equipment utilization and expand the range of tasks that can be handled by a single crane.
The successful completion of factory commissioning for this hydraulic double girder rubber tired gantry crane represents another practical step in Haitai Crane’s ongoing development of upgraded lifting equipment and application-oriented solutions. Haitai Crane will continue to focus on customers’ actual lifting conditions and optimize its equipment based on load requirements, workpiece dimensions, and operating environments, providing customized lifting solutions that are better suited to specific jobsite requirements.
